During the rehabilitation process following lower limb amputation the patient and the rehabilitation team are confronted with multiple challenges. Such as pain, wound healing issues, balance issues, gait deviations, socket issues and more. In order to find the best solution for the patient a multidisciplinary team approach is mandatory. This practical workshop focuses on the interaction between physical therapist & O&P professional. Together gait deviations or challenges during rehabilitation can be solved much better if the professional groups have a comprehensive understanding about physical, biomechanical and technical aspects influencing the fitting & the training. A structured analysis from therapeutically and technical perspective helps to figure out the best solution for the patient. Experience how modern technology as well as clinical tests can support the O&P professionals and therapists during their work.
