    Access from overseas

Kobe is linked to three airports in the Kansai area – Kansai International Airport and Osaka International Airport (Itami Airport), both located in Osaka, and Kobe Airport located directly in Kobe.

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket counter on the first floor of Kansai Airport Terminal 1 building, at the shuttle bus stop (for Ferry Terminal) of the Terminal 2 building, and at the Kobe counter. Credit cards are accepted. After purchasing a ticket, board the shuttle bus for the pier at bus stop No. 12.

Arriving at the pier at Kobe Airport, take the free bus at the bus stop outside the pier to get to ‘Kobe Airport Station’, where the local train ‘Port Liner’ takes you in 8 minutes to ‘Shimin Hiroba Station’ located at the Kobe Convention Center. Tickets for the Port Liner can be purchased at ticket machines at the station.

    Osaka International Airport (Itami Airport)

Osaka International Airport (Itami Airport) is a smaller airport offering connections within Japan. Limousine Bus services run regularly to Kobe ‘Sannomiya Station’.

From downtown Kobe ‘Sannomiya Station’, the local train ‘Port Liner’ takes you to ‘Shimin Hiroba Station’ at the Kobe Convention Center in about 10 minutes.

    Kobe Airport

Kobe Airport is a smaller airport offering connections within Japan. It is located on Port Island, close to the Kobe Convention Center. If you arrive at this airport, the local train ‘Port Liner’ takes you to ‘Shimin Hiroba Station’ at the Convention Center in 8 minutes.

    Access from Japan

In Japan, railways are a major means of passenger transport, especially for mass and high-speed transport between major cities.

The Shinkansen high-speed train (bullet train) takes you for example from Tokyo to Kobe in only 2 hours 48 minutes.

Passengers traveling to Kobe by train will arrive at ‘Sannomiya Station’ or ‘Shin-Kobe Station’.
