Kobe Convention Center
Japan’s first international convention center opened in Kobe in 1981 and consists of a fully equipped conference rooms, exhibition halls, hotel function rooms and a multi-purpose arena. All venues are in walking distance from one another and are linked by covered walkways. There are also restaurants, amenities, nature parks and museums to offer stimulating recreation and dining.
Closer to the airport than any other convention centers in Japan, Kobe Convention Center is located on Port Island, about 10 minutes from downtown Kobe (Sannomiya) and only 8 minutes from Kobe Airport.

The Kobe International Conference Center has a Main Hall with seats for 692 people for plenary meetings and the International Conference Room has capacity for 360 delegates. Both provide a 6-language interpreting system for international audiences. The Reception Hall caters for breaks and meals and 18 smaller meeting rooms are on hand for side-programs and theme sessions, etc.
Three decades of expansion are symbolized by Kobe’s three exhibition hall buildings, which are just 50m from Port Liner station (and less than 200 m away from Portopia Hotel and Kobe International Conference Center). In total they offer 13,600 m² of space and can be used for various events.
