The contribution of female Prosthetists and Orthotists (POs) to the disability sector is immense and cannot be overstated. Their expertise and dedication significantly enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. It is crucial to recognize and celebrate the positive impact these professionals have on the lives of their patients.

However, despite their invaluable contributions, female POs face unique challenges that are often more pronounced compared to their male counterparts. The rapid advancements in the field, coupled with varying cultural contexts, diverse age groups, and health-related issues, mental health issues related with work stress present significant obstacles to their work performance. These challenges can hinder their ability to deliver optimal care and support.

This presentation aims to highlight some of these pressing issues and provide a safe platform for female POs to voice their concerns. It seeks to create a supportive environment where these professionals can share their experiences, discuss the challenges they face, and collaboratively find effective solutions. By fostering open dialogue and mutual support, we can help female POs navigate the complexities of their profession and continue to excel in their vital roles.

The presenters are from diferrenct conetexts and currently work in for different organizations. This uniuqe diversity can be a benefit in idnetifying common challenges yet managed in different strategical ways.

The attendees are expected to identify the challenges faced by female Prosthetists and Orthotists and to collaboratively discuss solutions that could be helpful in addressing these common challenges in various contexts.
