Description

The NEURO HiSWING R+ is the first electronic system ankle joint in orthotics – adaptive with microprocessor-controlled hydraulics. As with all system joints in the NEURO SWING product range, it is used to bring the patient into an upright position and improve the stability when walking and standing, e.g. in the case of a weakness or paralysis of the calf muscles (plantar flexors). Thanks to its R+ functionality (R+ stands for ""reaction"" and means improved reaction options), this system ankle joint can be used to react quickly and easily to changing situations, for example: walking uphill and downhill, changing heel heights by switching shoes or walking up and down stairs. The integrated sensors, electronics and hydraulics enable the patient to walk safely and as naturally as possible.

The NEURO HiTRONIC system knee joint is suitable for the production of a custom-made KAFO  (knee-ankle-foot orthosis) with microprocessor-controlled swing phase and stance phase control. An orthosis with stance phase control and microhydraulics designed specifically for the NEURO HiTRONIC provides a particularly high level of safety for the patient.
