The 19th World Congress of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) celebrated a successful premiere in Latin America from 24 to 27 April in the Mexican city of Guadalajara. The prestigious World Congress welcomed 1,500 participants from 73 countries who came to gain insights into the latest scientific findings as well as the most current developments in treatment and care. At the exhibition, 110 companies from 28 countries showcased their products and solutions for modern treatments for people with disabilities.

The International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) and Leipziger Messe are set to continue their 13 years of collaboration. In advance of the ISPO 19th World Congress, the two organisations have agreed to extend their existing cooperation agreement until 2029.

For the first time in the history of the ISPO, this prestigious industry get-together is to be held in Latin America. "The Art and the Science" is the theme of this year's World Congress and its accompanying exhibition, which will offer opportunities for interdisciplinary exchange and dialogue on professional experiences. At the industry exhibition, over 100 companies from 28 countries are presenting their products and solutions for use in modern treatments for people with disabilities. At the World Congress, speakers from all over the world will give insights into the latest scientific findings as well as state-of-the-art treatments.
