World Congress Partner – Diamond

For more than one hundred years, Ottobock has been developing innovative solutions that enhance freedom of movement, quality of life, and independence for people with limited mobility. Founded in Berlin, Germany, in 1919, the company has grown into a listed global MedTech champion with leading expertise in prosthetics, neuroorthotics, and exoskeletons. Its strong R&D capabilities are reflected in more than 2,600 patents and patent applications. Today, Ottobock continues to drive the digitalisation of the O&P industry while providing compassionate, high-quality care through the world’s largest international patient care network.

The theme of the ISPO World Congress 2027 – “A World Connected: Advancing Assistive Technologies for Global Equity” – aligns closely with Ottobock’s vision. The call for a globally interconnected approach that reduces disparities and promotes universal access to high-quality assistive technologies mirrors Ottobock’s long-standing commitment to equitable mobility and inclusive empowerment. The theme highlights that technological progress must benefit individuals regardless of geography, resources, or background, underscoring the importance of global collaboration and knowledge exchange in advancing rehabilitation services.

As Diamond Partner, Ottobock looks forward to contributing to this shared mission. At the ISPO World Congress 2027, the company will present its latest developments in wearable human bionics, digital workflows, and evidence-based clinical innovation. Beyond showcasing new technologies, Ottobock aims to engage in meaningful dialogue with practitioners, researchers, and policymakers from around the world to strengthen global networks and promote sustainable, scalable solutions that improve access to mobility for all.

Ottobock is proud to support the ISPO World Congress as a platform that brings together science, practice, and global collaboration – advancing assistive technologies and shaping a more connected, equitable future for people with disabilities worldwide.

World Congress Partner – Gold

At Instalimb, we believe that access to a prosthetic limb should not depend on where a person is born or what they can afford. Founded in Tokyo in 2017, Instalimb was built around a single conviction: the 90 million people worldwide who require a prosthetic limb but cannot access one deserve a different answer than the industry has so far provided.

To deliver that answer, we rebuilt prosthetic manufacturing from the ground up. By combining proprietary 3D CAD software, specialized P&O 3D printers and materials, and machine learning trained on years of clinical data, Instalimb has created an end-to-end digital workflow that enables a high-quality, individually fitted prosthetic leg to be produced in a fraction of the time and cost required by traditional methods. The result is a system that multiplies the output of every prosthetist many times over, without compromising on fit, function, or the dignity of the people who wear our devices.

This approach has taken us from a Tokyo lab to direct clinical operations in the Philippines and India, and to partnerships with organisations such as ALIMCO and BMVSS (Jaipur Foot), two of the largest prosthetic providers in the world. To date, we have delivered over 10,000 3D-printed prosthetic legs to users across the Global South, and we are now scaling our solution to Indonesia, Ukraine, Nigeria, and beyond through programs including the UNIDO Global South Technology Transfer initiative.

The theme of the ISPO World Congress 2027, "A World Connected: Advancing Assistive Technologies for Global Equity," speaks directly to the work we set out to do. Equity in mobility cannot be achieved by exporting expensive systems to underserved regions; it requires technologies, training, and care models designed from the outset for the realities of low- and middle-income settings. Bangkok is a fitting host for this conversation, and Southeast Asia a fitting region in which to hold it.

As an ISPO World Congress 2027 Gold partner, Instalimb looks forward to sharing what we have learned about digital, AI-enabled prosthetic manufacturing, and to learning in turn from the clinicians, researchers, users, and policymakers who make up the global P&O community. We are proud to stand alongside ISPO and its members in advancing a future where every person who needs a prosthesis can receive one: affordable, well-fitted, and delivered with care.
