TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION
Bangkok is one of Southeast Asia’s major international travel hubs and combines excellent global connectivity with a broad range of accommodation options. The ISPO 21st World Congress 2027 will take place at IMPACT Forum, part of the IMPACT Muang Thong Thani complex in the Greater Bangkok metropolitan area.
Participants can choose between hotels directly at or close to the congress venue and hotels in central Bangkok. Staying near IMPACT offers maximum convenience during congress days, while a city-centre stay provides easier access to Bangkok’s restaurants, shopping, culture and nightlife. Arriving in Bangkok
Bangkok is served by two airports: Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), the city’s main international gateway, and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK), which is widely used by regional and low-cost carriers. Participants should check their arrival airport carefully when planning onward transportation.
Getting to IMPACT Forum from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)
Suvarnabhumi Airport is connected to central Bangkok by the Airport Rail Link. The station is located on Level B1 of the passenger terminal and the service currently operates from 05:30 to 24:00. Metered taxis, ride-hailing services and private transfers are also available. For travel directly to IMPACT Forum, a taxi or pre-arranged transfer is generally the most straightforward option; journey times vary significantly depending on traffic.
Getting to IMPACT Forum from Don Mueang Airport (DMK)
Don Mueang Airport is located north of central Bangkok and is comparatively close to the IMPACT Muang Thong Thani area. Metered taxis, ride-hailing services, public buses and the SRT Red Line are available from the airport. Depending on traffic, taxi or ride-hailing services are typically the simplest option for reaching IMPACT Forum and nearby congress hotels.
Getting to IMPACT Forum
IMPACT Forum is located within the IMPACT Muang Thong Thani complex in Nonthaburi. The key public-transport stop for the congress venue is MT02 Lake Muang Thong Thani. From Exit 4, a covered skywalk leads directly into IMPACT Forum, Hall 4. Delegates arriving at IMPACT Challenger should instead use MT01 IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Exit 3.

From Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)
- Take the Airport Rail Link (ARL) to Phaya Thai.
- Transfer to the BTS Green Line and travel to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat (N17).
- Connect to the MRT Pink Line (PK16).
- Continue to Muang Thong Thani (PK10).
- Transfer to the spur line and travel to MT02 – Lake Muang Thong Thani.
- From Exit 4, follow the covered skywalk directly to IMPACT Forum.
- Travel time: approx. 60–70 minutes.
- Estimated fare: approx. THB 150.
- Taxi or Grab: approx. 45–60 minutes; allow additional time during heavy traffic.
From Don Mueang Airport (DMK)
- Take the SRT Red Line from Don Mueang to Lak Si.
- Transfer to the MRT Pink Line at Lak Si (PK14).
- Continue to Muang Thong Thani (PK10).
- Transfer to the spur line and travel to MT02 – Lake Muang Thong Thani.
- From Exit 4, follow the covered skywalk directly to IMPACT Forum.
- Travel time: approx. 35–45 minutes.
- Estimated fare: approx. THB 53.
- Taxi or Grab approx. 15–20 minutes.

Accommodation
ISPO has negotiated special accommodation rates at a selection of official congress hotels. These include hotels located close, IMPACT Forum, as well as hotels in nearby districts and central Bangkok with convenient access to the venue by public transport (BTS/MRT), taxi, or other transport options.
Travel visa information
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Please check the latest entry and visa requirements with the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in your country or via the official Thai e-Visa website. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they meet all applicable entry requirements before travelling to Thailand.
After completing your registration and payment, you will receive a registration confirmation email with a link to download your Visa Invitation Letter. Participants who are eligible for visa exemption or visa-free entry do not require this letter, but may still generate one if needed.
Currency and payments
The official currency of Thailand is the Thai Baht (THB). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted in hotels, shopping centres and larger restaurants, while cash remains useful for smaller shops, markets, taxis and local services. ATMs and currency exchange services are widely available in Bangkok and at the airports.
